As always, because NeoBuyer works in your browser session, it never needs your Neopets username or password to operate. All your Neopets data stays completely local on your computer.
Settings, history, and export files
NeoBuyer stores its configuration and purchase history locally in Chrome. NeoBuyer does not upload that local extension data to the NeoBuyer website. Direct version 0.5.0 and later can export that data as a local JSON file; the file can include settings, lists, purchase history, and EmailJS integration IDs. The old Web Store version and direct version use separate local storage.
Item database
The extension periodically checks neobuyer.pages.dev for a versioned database containing item names, rarities, and prices. A new database is stored only after its schema and cryptographic revision are validated. A bundled database remains available if the service cannot be reached.
Subscription access
NeoBuyer uses ExtensionPay to check subscription access and provide its sign-in and payment pages. Subscription and payment information shown through that process is handled by ExtensionPay and its payment provider, not by the NeoBuyer website.
No remote software
NeoBuyer does not download or execute any remotely loaded JavaScript.
